You were not created to play small.

Rebecca sits down for a solocast to chat a bit about the topic of sexism in small towns.

While there isn’t a live guest for this episode, Rebecca shares some of the perspectives she gathered from others on the topic, including several women that work in predominantly male-oriented industries.

The perceived threat of the “good ol’ boys” club is alive and well in small towns. Rather than playing into the myth that automatically translates to sexism, through the feedback of other small-town women and her own perspective, Rebecca offers ideas on how to ensure that as women, we put ourselves in the position to be seen, heard, and have our contributions valued.

And guess what? Like with most challenging topics, the work starts with us.
